Ian Wishingrad is an entrepreneur and award-winning creative director specializing in branding, entertainment and digital development. He is the founder and creative director of BigEyedWish and launched Nobituary.com alongside Oscar-winner and “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg in 2015. This new web app is dedicated to helping smokers quit by empowering people who love them with a tool that sends a personalized message of hope and rebirth.
Prior to forming his own company, Wishingrad served as the Director of Creative Development at United Entertainment Group working on leading brands including P&G Beauty, Frito-Lay and General Mills. Before leading the creative department at UEG, Wishingrad served as the Sr. Manager of Creative Development at Vimeo. There he helped craft the Vimeo brand, established partnerships with Hollywood studios, and collaborated with the ad sales team to create custom campaigns for their advertisers. Before Vimeo, Wishingrad served as the youngest Senior Copywriter at TracyLocke. While there, he created the award-winning Wisk-it Facebook app, SoBe Skinsuit campaign, and “The Land of &” for Buffets Inc.
In the year ahead, Wishingrad will continue to solve big problems for his ever-growing roster of clients at BigEyedWish and is excited about some of the other creative ventures on the horizon including an unscripted television show in development.
Wishingrad has won many accolades throughout his career including a Best in Show and Gold & Viral Promotion for the Wisk-it Facebook app. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and holds a Bachelors of Science in Television, Radio and Film. Wishingrad is a board member of the esteemed Newhouse Network.
When he is not working, Wishingrad can be found playing tennis, swimming in the ocean and reading autobiographies. He currently resides in Manhattan, New York.
